This site documents the building of my home in 2008. The house is raised up 10 feet to get a better view and catch more of the trade winds. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom model. 912 sq. ft. interior with a 456 sq. ft. lanai. Under the house is for storage. The package home came from Wholesale Builders Supply in Washington who have since gone out of business. A downstairs office addition with half bath and an enclosed storage area was completed in 2011.

I began the last week of January, 2008, and moved in 7 months to the day from when I moved here. I got my final inspection at the end of September. The slate floors are from a guy in Pahoa. Kitchen pendant lights are from Ikea and all other lights are from Restoration Hardware. The floors were installed in the house in 13 hours. It’s engineered click-lock bamboo with the top 1/4” being solid dark bamboo.

In 2014 I remodeled the kitchen, with a new counter top from Samsung Radianz, a 6 burner American Range Performer, range hood, and white glass tile. Trees were also trimmed to restore my ocean view.
